Yes, Luxweld's advanced flashing system has been specified to be used in water front properties and BAL rated homes also. It is made to withstand the harshest environments the Australian weather can throw at it.

No, not all skylight flashings are the same. They vary in material, quality and joining system. They will either require rivets and silicone, spot welding and silicone or solely welded joins. Flashings using silicone will require maintenance overtime to replace silicone joins.

Aluminium Seam-welded flashings are more durable and provide a permanent, watertight seal without the need for silicone, which can degrade and crack over time. This reduces the risk of leaks and minimizes the need for future maintenance, offering a long-term solution compared to zincalume or colourbond flashings requiring silicone.

Skylight flashing is a critical component that seals and joins your Velux skylight to your roof profile and prevents water from entering your home. Quality flashings ensures a watertight install and protects the home. Flashings need to fit 3 basic criteria
1- Be made to match your roof profile

2- Be made to suit your Velux skylight

3- Water tight joins

Yes, Velux skylights require specific flashings that are compatible with the skylight model and the type of roof you have (e.g., tile, corrugated, or metal roofs). Using the correct flashing ensures a secure, watertight installation that will perform as intended.

A high-quality, Luxweld Aluminium seam-welded flashing should last longer than your skylight. Compared with most other flashings on the market with only a 7 year warranty on the silicone joins.
